So anyone have a set of driver (vacuum) an passenger (manual) wiper blades to clear out. They just need to be in ok condition to replace very old dry rot ones. Working on getting the jeep safety certified. Most us locations have them new for not a bad price but shipping is ridicules for two 9inch wipers.

Hi Glen,
I had success purchasing a cheap blade at an auto parts store and cutting/modifying it to work in my existing blade holder.  I don't know what you've got to work with, but thought you could see if this might work for you too.

Ok. Thanks. It looks like I can modify the drivers ok. Will have to see what I can do with the passenger.

Glen,
I've been thinking on this post and believe altering may be the best solution.  Your biggest issue is shipping.  I would have thought you'd have access somewhere up there to source these.

I can remember way back when my jeep had the wrong arm and blade that I would just pull the rubber insert out and replace that as suggested.

Doing this will eliminate matching whatever combination you have (stock or retrofit).  On the passenger side, I have seen offerings of replacement blades from one vendor, but it's held on with a rivet  (which at this point - any fastener that works may fit what you want) but then again, we're discussing shipping.  I saw the blade here:
https://www.vintagejeepparts.com/index.php?route=product/product&keyword=manualw...

This makes me think there might be other suppliers that carry it.

However on the passenger side, an article on the CJ3B Page detailed how to repair one.  Again, not knowing what you have access to there locally, you may find inspiration to use something similar to reconstruct yours.

Good Luck!

I modded up a set that uses off the shelf refills and is compatible with the std wiper arms.

I did something similar way back when I first got my jeep (70's era wiper refills).  But this is way better.

I'm curious how you got the original top clip (that attaches to the wiper arm) anchored where it wouldn't pull out on its own.

Excellent work!
