Missing in action for a while

My apologies. I've been out of commission for a while.
My dad, who's 97 yrs old, fell on Valentines Day and fractured a vertebra in his neck. He's out of the hospital now and in sub-acute rehab with a couple months yet to go. I've been up to the hospital almost every day for the last 50 days so have been falling behind on most of my duties. He's doing well enough now that I can start catching up.
No chance he'll be well enough to ride the old Willys in the Memorial Day parade this year.

Maybe next year.

I forgot to come back and update this post.
In the previous post, I lied, I guess.
Dad recovered so well we were all amazed. His progress through rehab was miraculous.
Here we are in the Memorial Day parade after all.
If you look closely, you can see Dad is still wearing the Aspen Collar (neck brace). The spine surgeon declared him healed and ditched the brace only a couple weeks later. We are all thankful, especially Dad. We celebrated his 98th birthday last week.
The two guys in the back are younger, much higher ranking Army.
